Proyecto realizado en acuerdo entre el Politecnico di Torino y la Universidad de Los Andes de Colombia.

El proyecto consiste en la re-adecuación de los terrenos entre el palacio de Justicia y las residencias estudiantiles del EDISU y el Politécnico di Torino con el fin de crear aulas, laboratorios de prueba y residencias y servicios para estudiantes, respetando las preexistencias.

A partir de esto se vio la necesidad de crear una conexión entre el area verde sin uso especificado y la zona de trabajo principal creando franjas habitables con cubiertas verdes. Esto permite crear espacio publico y zonas verdes carentes en la zona, articulando las nuevas edificaciones con el edificio existente.

The workshop consisted in the transformation of a wide piece of land that contained former industrial amenities and empty green areas in the proximities of the Politecnico campus and the student residences of Via Borsellino.

We concluded that it was necessary a connection between the two sides without cutting through the long existing building  creating the new volumes on the edges of the block leaving internal space to be used as public space and green areas.

Creating  green ribbons that passed over the existing building with usable space underneath and that formed new paths to walk the block and to access to the new facilities.
