Workshop:
Restoration San Carlos Palace block.

Workshop realized under the coordination of the architects Ernesto Moure, Monica Alvarez, Gloria Zuloaga, Gabriel Leal, Juan Carlos Cancino, Beatriz Velasquez.
The project aimed towards an analysis of the blocks of the Historical Center of Bogotá, assigning a block per student.
This work was focused on the Foreign affairs Ministry's Headquarters, mostly known as the Palacio de San Carlos, named given in the 1900 when it was the Presidential residence.
The workshop intended to determine if it was necessary any kind of intervention, either of transformation or restoration of the historial buildings.
The outcome of the analysis was the evidence of the lack of public space and green areas in the area due to the original urban typology that mainly focused on the internal courtyards.
As an strategy it was implemented a series of internal paths and connections between the courtyards that would permeate towards the exterior creating new public more intimate spaces and new ways to get around into the city center.
